Mikael Kunak

A strong young musher, hunter and fisherman, Mikaeli belongs to the new generation of Kulusuumi who take great pride in carrying forward many generations’ expertise and a deep love for the land, water and ice surrounding our home village.  After decades of us working together with his father Gideon - a highly respected elder who has explored the coastline for hundreds of kilometres to the north and south - Mikaeli has now stepped in and become an essential part of the team, a kind, gentle and experienced musher on long journeys in the fjordlands.
